Medicine
Requirements : The Orleans Urgent care Clinic (OUCC) employs physicians with a fellowship or certification in Emergency Medicine or physicians with sufficient experience in emergency medicine. Because we are a fully equipped emergency facility, our physicians must have the appropriate training and experience. Many of our physicians continue to work in local Emergency Departments.
Employment Arrangement : Physicians may become OUCC associates however there are also non associate physicians who work casual hours.
Hours : Physician weekday work hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Weekend hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The OUCC clinic is closed on statutory holidays.
Salaries : Physicians bill OHIP for insured services, and standard OMA rates are billed for uninsured services.
Nursing
Requirements : In keeping with the Orleans Urgent care Clinic’s high standard of emergency care, we hire experienced Registered Nurses (RN) and Registered Practical Nurses (RPN).
Employment Arrangement : Scheduling is managed by the Clinic’s nursing team leader. Schedules are distributed months in advance.
Hours : Weekday nursing hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Weekend hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Salaries : OUCC nurses are paid competitive hourly rates.
Administration
In addition to medical staff, the clinic employs receptionists and other support staff.
